Edwin F. Goebel Sr., 81, Mesa, AZ (formerly Richmond area)

August 7, 1933 - January 17, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Edwin F. Goebel Sr., age 81, who died Saturday in Mesa, AZ. Private burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Garden.

A visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. A second visitation will be held at Bradshaw Funeral Home (Rice Street) in St. Paul, MN from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

Edwin married Mary Lou Lynch on July 8, 1988 in Richmond, MN. He retired from TCM Construction as a Project Manager in 1991.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Lou; children, Janice Rose, Geraldine (Bart) Westeen, Carolyn (Rickey) Nickens, Charlie (Marie) Goebel, Catherine (Tom) Kieger; daughter-in-law, Diane Goebel; step-children, Terri (Mike) Valento, Dean (Sherri) Raba; siblings, Marcella (Tom) Haeny, James (Roberta) Goebel, Lavern Schaefer, Paul Goebel; 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 1-great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Edith Goebel; son, Edwin F. Goebel Jr.; siblings, Fred, Eileen, Barb, Joyce; grandchild, Jeremy and great-grandchild, Rosalee Mae.
