MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Minnesota woman accused of stalking and killing her ex-boyfriend had pleaded guilty to murdering him.

Thirty-nine-year-old Rochelle Inselman of Eden Valley pleaded guilty Friday to second-degree intentional murder.

The Hennepin County attorney's office says Inselman is set to be sentenced to 40 years in prison Tuesday. She had been indicted for first-degree murder and would have faced life in prison without parole if convicted on that charge.

Inselman pleaded guilty to killing Bret Struck in his Brooklyn Center home on Feb. 12. He was shot eight times.

Authorities say after the two broke up in 2004, she continued to harass him.

Police got the evidence they were looking for when a gun box found in the trash at an area rest stop was traced to Inselman.
