Eagan Squad Strikes Pedestrian

EAGAN (AP) - A pedestrian is recovering after he was struck by an Eagan police squad.

It happened about 12:30 a.m. Thursday near an intersection in Eagan.

Paramedics responded and rushed the 26-year-old South St. Paul man to Regions Hospital where he's in serious condition. Police say the officer was in a marked squad on routine patrol when the incident occurred.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating.
