EAGAN, Minn. (AP) - A robotics team from Eagan will represent the U.S. in international competition in China.

The team of seven girls made it to the World Adolescent Robotics Competition in Missouri last year where they were invited to apply for competition this year in Beijing. The girls became the first of 40 international teams to be chosen.

Reports say the teens call themselves The Green Girls and have named their latest robot Guy because they consider it ironic that it's the creation of an all-girls team.

The Green Girls have created a number of robots over the years through designing, programming and 3D printing. The girls say some companies have approached them about internships. But, coach Tanya Berg says they'll have to wait a few years because the girls will be high school freshmen this fall.
