Dwane A. Larson, 86, of Brainerd, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at Heritage House in Pequot Lakes. Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday, September 30 from 4-6 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter to remember and celebrate Dwane’s life.

Dwane Arthur Larson was born December 18, 1927, in Brainerd, the son of Arthur and Edith (Blanck) Larson. Following his graduation from Washington High School, Dwane enlisted in the US Army. After his discharge, he continued his education at William Mitchell Law School. In 1950, he married Barbara Kinder. In Brainerd, he was a partner at Fitzpatrick and Larson Law Firm. Beginning in the early 60s, he was elected Brainerd City Attorney numerous times. He was a member of the Minnesota Bar Association, Kiwanis, and the Shriners. He served on the Board of Directors for First National Bank. Dwane enjoyed playing bridge and gardening. He loved to travel in the United State and abroad.

Dwane will be missed by his children, Margaret (Randy) Robb, of Motley, Robert Larson, of Brainerd, and Bruce (Brenda) Larson, of Park Rapids; grandchildren, Rebecca (Nicholas) Lentz, Wade (Elizabeth) Robb, and Brennan Larson; and siblings, Darold Larson and Marlys Rittman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; parents; and his brother, Jack Larson.
