Duluth Man Arrested in Death of Boy, 3
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a Duluth man in the death of a 3-year-old boy in Becker County.
The Becker County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday dispatched emergency medical services to a home in Maple Grove Township, on the White Earth Indian Reservation, on a report of a young child with a head injury. The boy was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Detroit Lakes and then transferred to a hospital in Fargo, North Dakota, where he was pronounced dead.
The boy is identified as Steven Warren. An autopsy report says he died of homicidal violence.
A 23-year-old man was arrested and is being held in the Becker County Jail, pending charges. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the investigation.
