DOG LAKE -- The Wright County Sheriff's Office received a call reporting a possible drowning at the Dog Lake public access in Woodland Township yesterday.

Sheriff Joe Hagerty says the Wright County Sheriff's Office received the call at about 5:50 p.m. Saturday evening.

The caller reported that a man in his mid-50s who was fishing off the dock at the public access fell into the water and did not resurface.

Responders of the Wright County Sheriff's Office Recreational Services Unit recovered the body of the deceased male in six-to-ten feet of water at about 8:00 p.m.

The name of the deceased is being withheld until family members can be contacted.
