Downtown St. Cloud Stores Open Late First Thursday Of The Month [AUDIO,POLL]

ST. CLOUD - You will have the chance to do some shopping in downtown St. Cloud tomorrow (Thursday) night.  Several downtown business owners have joined together for "First Thursday Downtown".  They plan to be open late - until 9:00 p.m. - on the first Thursday of every month.

"Accents" owner Kathy Severson says they want to show-off everything that the downtown has to offer.

Severson says about 20 businesses will be staying open late.

Several restaurants plan to put tables out on the sidewalk.  And, on nice evenings, some may offer live music outside.

First Thursday is the latest effort to attract more people downtown.  For the past couple of years, Art Crawls have been a popular event held on several Friday evenings throughout the year.
