ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Downtown Council has launched a $30,000 beautification campaign.

Board Member Penny White says they've been slowly adding amenities like more flowers over the past few years.  But she says with the new River's Edge Convention Center now open, and with more businesses opening downtown, the time has come to step-up the efforts.

White says the $30,000 will be spent on public art, bicycle racks, benches, holiday decorations, and more.

She says they're also looking for volunteers to help during their clean-up day on May 15th.
