November 15, 1939 - September 12, 2014

 

Douglas D. Oswald age 74, passed away Sept. 12, 2014 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Brainerd.

Living in NE Minneapolis and the north suburbs, he and his wife Liz spent the last 12 years in Garrison, and the last 3 winters in Sebring Florida. After retirement from real estate, he spent 22 years holding karaoke nights, and running a Texas Hold ‘em league around the Mille Lacs Lake area.

Doug is survived by his wife of 34 years Liz (Elizabeth), son Doug, daughter Cherrie (Darren), daughter Pam, son Derick (Theresa), son Jon, daughter Kim, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sisters Gloria, Alice, Deloris, Diane, Shirley, Vickie, Judy, brother Dennis, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Alice and Victor, and brothers Ed, Jerry, Jimmy, and Bob.

There will be a celebration of Doug’s life Saturday Sept. 27, 2014 from 2-5 pm at the Garrison VFW, 27234 Monroe St. Garrison 56450.
