Dot M. Anderson, 94, Sauk Rapids

April 30, 1921 - July 22, 2015

Dot (her given name) Marvel Anderson, age 94, a resident of Good Shepherd Court Apartments, Sauk Rapids, MN, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Quiet Oaks Hospice, St. Augusta, MN, after a brief reoccurrence of cancer.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Monday. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Crystal, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.

Dot was born April 30, 1921 in Grafton, ND to Mansfield and Florence Olive (Leifson) Quist. She married Clifford C. Anderson on November 15, 1941 and together they raised four children. They were married for 67 years.

Dot enjoyed many hobbies, including travel, flower gardening, collecting antique American pressed glass, Bridge, painting, reading and entertaining family and friends.

Preceding Dot in death were her parents, sister, Norma Quist, husband, Cliff (August 2008), and eldest son, Douglas (December 2013).

She is survived by her sister, Elaine Sherwood of Crystal, MN; sons, David (JoAnne) Anderson of Merrifield, MN; Daryl (Lise) Anderson of Maplewood, MN; daughter, Debbie Grzybowski of St. Cloud, MN; daughter-in-law, Karen Anderson of Plymouth, MN; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
