Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rockville for Dorothy J. Pfannenstein, age 94, of Rockville, who passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta. Reverend Ronald Weyrens will officiate. Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Church in Rockville. Parish prayers will be held at 4:00 p.m. followed by the Christian Women and Legion of Mary at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Dorothy was born on December 30, 1920 in Breslau, Germany to Johann and Clara (Koser) Schoengart. She married Michael Pfannenstein Jr. on December 18, 1948 in Freising, Germany. Dorothy was a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Christian Women, and the Legion of Mary.

Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, playing cards, Scrabble, and gardening. She was a woman of great faith, devoting much of her time to prayer. Dorothy especially treasured all the time spent with her family and dear friends.

She is survived by her son, Steve (Sandy) Pfannenstein of Rockville; grandchildren, Megan (Lucas) Dingman of Plymouth, Daniel (Heather) Pfannenstein of Little Falls, and Michael and Ben Pfannenstein of Nebraska; a great grandson on the way; and other relatives and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael; son, Arnold; and brothers, Herbert, Edward and Arnold.

A Special Thank You to the Staff at Quiet Oaks Hospice House for the exceptional care given to Dorothy during her stay.
