Dorothy “Dori” J. Klimmek, 70, St. Cloud

January 14, 1944 - November 3, 2014

Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Dorothy “Dori” J. Klimmek, age 70, of St. Cloud who passed away after a short stay at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta. Chaplain Steve Kampa will officiate and entombment will be in the Assumption Mausoleum. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home on Thursday.

Dorothy was born January 14, 1944 in St. Cloud to Ed and Marie (Schwartz) Emslander. On January 18, 1964 Dorothy married Lloyd Klimmek at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park. Dorothy worked as an assembler at Electrolux for 23 years before retiring in 2010. Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family especially her grandson, Eli.

Dorothy is survived by children, Ken (Marcia) of Sauk Rapids, Kevin of St. Cloud, Lloyd Jr. of St. Cloud, Kristina (Jim) Klimmek Quire of Minneapolis; beloved grandson, Eli Klimmek Quire; brothers, Rick (Kathy), Ed Jr. (Sharon), Mike, Jerry, John (Kristi) Steve (Helen) and Tim Emslander; sisters, Kathy (Phil) Moeller, Ginger (Jack) Zwilling, Sherry Meemken, Carol (Butch) Bieniek, Jayne (Jeff) Roering; sisters-in-law, Jean Goebel, Janet (Doug) Paulsen and brother-in-law, Larry Klimmek. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd Klimmek Sr. in 1997; daughter, Connie Sue; sister, Liz “Buzzy” (Dick) Heim; brother- in-law, Mark Meemken and special friend, “Mister” Pat Aldrich in 2012.

Dori’s family would like to thank Dr. Patrick Lalley and Dori’s nurse Deb from St. Cloud Hospital Hospice for their compassion and care.
