Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 10, at St. John the Baptist, Abbey Church, in Collegeville, for Doris M. Dukowitz, 69, of Avon, who died on October 5, 2014. Burial will be in the St. John’s Abbey Cemetery. The Reverend Greg Miller, OSB, will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday at St. John the Baptist Parish Center in Collegeville and from 9:00-10:00 AM on Friday at the Abbey Church. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 PM and the Eagles Aerie #622 Auxiliary will pray at 7:30 PM on Thursday at the Parish Center in Collegeville. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Joseph.

Doris was born on December 12, 1944, in Avon, to Walter and Frances (Wiatrak) Studniski. She married Paul Dukowitz on May 12, 1973, at St. John’s Abbey Church in Collegeville. Doris was a past president of the Eagles Aerie #622 Auxilliary, a member of the St. Rose Mission Group, the St. Joe Rod and Gun Club, and the Lucky Horse Shoe Riders.

She is survived by: husband Paul; children, Kevin of Grand Rapids, Kris of St. Cloud, Karen (Tim) Greenwood of Avon; grandchildren Jesse and Jazmin Greenwood, Matthew Barrett; sisters Shirley (Bill) Opatz, and Noel (Norbert) Mohs.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Alois and Dennis.
