Donna Mae M. Peterson, 84, Sartell

January 20, 1931 - January 26, 2015

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church in Swanburg for Donna Mae M. Peterson, age 84, of Sartell who passed away on Monday. Rev. Joan Gunderman will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday in Swanburg.

Donna Mae was born January 20, 1931 to Leonard and Hattie (Zang) Truax in Devils Lake, ND. On August 6, 1949 she married the love of her life Calvin Peterson at Faith Lutheran Church in Swanburg. The couple moved to the St. Cloud area shortly after their marriage. Donna Mae was a homemaker, raising her eight children. She enjoyed her flower gardens, sewing, and crafting with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Florida, Europe, Aruba and dancing cheek to cheek with her husband. Donna Mae was quick witted with a wonderful sense of humor. She was very involved with her children and family.

Donna Mae is survived by her children, Robert (Bonnie) of Mankato, Ronald (Jayne) of St. Cloud, Paulette (Lester) Bense of Sartell, Deanne (Stephen) Newell of Lowell, MI, Karen (Steven) Holthaus of Albany, Kathy Williams of Sauk Rapids, Rene Davis of Albany; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Calvin; son, Dwaine; and sister, Beverly Crawford.

Memorials are preferred to Faith Lutheran Church, Swanburg MN.
