Donna Mae Blomker, 83, Eden Valley

February 5, 1932 - April 27, 2015

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Eden Valley for Donna Mae Blomker, age 83, who passed away Monday at the Paynesville Hospital. Rev. Bryan Hopfensperger will officiate and burial will be at the Eden Lake Cemetery in Eden Valley. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Eden Valley and one hour prior to the services Friday also at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Eden Valley.

Donna was born Feb. 5, 1932 in Minneapolis to Abel & Esther (Kottke) Johnson, where they resided until 1946. She grew up on Sandy Beach Resort on Rice Lake where later in life she spent many summers with her family. She married Conrad Blomker on April 18, 1953 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Eden Valley. Donna was a homemaker. She was also a waitress, beautician, and played the organ at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and at the Hilltop Care Center in Watkins for services. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Donna enjoyed sewing, reading, visiting with others and spending time with her family. She was a quiet, genuine, compassionate, humble, and kind person.

Survivors include her husband, Conrad “Connie” of Eden Valley; children, Douglas (Susan) of Minneapolis, James (Kathy) of Paynesville, and Sherri (Derek) Larson of Buffalo; daughter-in-law, Susan Terres of Melrose; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Jeffrey and Daniel; and great granddaughter, Madilyn Utsch.
