Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Donna M. Hinnenkamp, 86, originally of St. Rosa will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Clearwater. Donna passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Dennis Backer will officiate. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18th and after 10:00 a.m. on Friday both at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Clearwater. Parish prayers will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, Clearwater.

Donna was born on May 27, 1931 in St. Rosa to Boniface and Loretta (Roering) Thielen. She graduated from Melrose High School, where she was selected Homecoming Queen. Donna was a people person and had a way of making everyone feel as if they were her best friend.

She loved the Lord, and loved serving people. She loved creating, through painting, decorating for parties and events, and creative cooking. She worked as an advocate for the unborn since before Roe v. Wade, and was a charter member of the first Birthline chapter in Minneapolis.

She was married to Art in 1950, the love of her life, and he preceded her in death by six days.

Donna is survived by her children, Ken of Florida, Bob (Deb) of Excelsior, Lea (Jeff) Gallagher of Sartell, Jeff of Otsego, Eileen Taniguchi of Texas; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Patty) Thielen of Texas; and sister, Bernice (Jerry) DeMarre of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Richard Thielen.
