Donna M. Grafft, 86, St. Cloud

May 11, 1929 - May 6, 2016

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Donna M. Grafft, 86, of St. Cloud will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at St. Mary’s Cathedral Lower Church in St. Cloud. Donna passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum, St. Cloud.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Donna was born on May 11, 1929 in St. Cloud to the late Thomas and Catherine (Muntifering) Blissenbach Sr. She married Donald A. Grafft Sr. on September 7, 1946 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park. After raising her children, Donna was employed at St. Cloud Surgical Center for 14 years. She also volunteered her time with many organizations in St. Cloud.

Donna enjoyed playing cards with her friends at St. Benedict Place South and casino trips with family.

She is survived by her children, Sandy (Bill) Empting of St. Cloud, Gail (Steve) Larson of Blaine, Janet (Robert A.) Weisman of St. Cloud, Gwen Grafft of Minneapolis, Mark (Shelley) of St. Joseph; 13 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and brother, Alvin Blissenbach of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1990; children, Joyce Schefers, Donald Jr., Catherine Lind, Michelle Grafft; and brothers and sisters.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to Quiet Oaks Hospice House.
