Donald G. Dohrmann, 71, Foley

February 22, 1943 - December 29, 2014

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids for Donald G. Dohrmann, age 71, who passed away Monday at Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell. Rev. Harvey Ehlers and Rev. Paul Cloeter will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the church. Rev. Ken Ferber will conduct a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Donald was born Feb. 22, 1943 in St. Cloud to Reinhold & Ella (Koepp) Dohrmann. He married Rosemary Lepinski on April 10, 1964 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids. Donald lived in the Sauk Rapids/Popple Creek area most of his life. He worked as a carpenter for Dohrmann’s Custom Renovations and Design Line Cabinets. Donald was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as treasurer. He was also a member of the Rice Sportsman Club, and a former member of the Sauk Rapids Lions Club. Donald enjoyed hunting with his brothers in Wyoming and Montana, woodworking, and operating his productive hobby farm. He was hard working, talented carpenter and handyman. Donald was a determined, strong willed, generous, loving and easy going man.

Survivors include his wife, Rose of Foley; children, Sue (Ernie) Christen of Sauk Rapids, Brenda (Jeff) Haus of Clear Lake, Barry (Erin) of Foley and Brian (Jenny) of Sauk Rapids; brothers and sister, Roger of St. Joseph, Duane of St. Cloud and Betty Thomas of Horace, ND; and grandchildren, Charlie, Trevor, Alyssa, Tyler, Elizabeth, Laura and Angel. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Reinhold Dohrmann, Jr.

Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church, Country Manor, or St. Croix Hospice.
