ST. CLOUD - Student athletes and faculty members started putting up the dome over Husky Stadium Thursday night.

The dome usually goes up earlier in the year, but the St. Cloud State football team delayed the process with its playoff run. The Huskies could have potentially hosted a game at home if they continued advancing in the playoffs.

In the winter months, the dome provides a valuable practice space for SCSU athletic teams and recreation sports programs.

Putting up the 90,000 square foot dome is usually a 16 hour job. St. Cloud State student-athletes provide a bulk of the volunteer labor.
