Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM Friday, February 12, 2016 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud for Dolores I. Hanisch, 83, of Sauk Rapids formerly of St. Cloud who passed away peacefully on Sunday at Good Shepherd in Sauk Rapids. Rev. Leroy Scheierl will officiate and burial will be at Assumption Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call from 4-8PM Thursday at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church. St. Paul’s Parish prayers will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Dee was born in Superior, Wisconsin to Clifford and Irene (Nicholson) Lind. She attended St. Michael’s High School in Pontiac, Michigan. She joined and was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis Convent of Rice Lake, WI and Duluth Superior. She attended St. Gabriel’s School of Nursing graduating in Little Falls on May 31, 1962. Dee married Andrew J “Red” Hanisch on October 23, 1963 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She worked as a nurse for the St. Cloud Hospital from 1962 until her retirement in 1994. Dee continued her education later in life and graduated from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health. She is a member, volunteer, and she started the parish nursing program at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Dee was very active in the American Cancer Society and Strides for Breast Cancer. She was the longest living Breast Cancer survivor in the St. Cloud area. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Dee is survived by her son, Chris; and is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Janet; daughter, Andrea; son, Paul; husband, Andrew.
