SAUK RAPIDS -- The local DNR office is inviting you to come out and see their new Sauk Rapids office and also learn a little bit about what they do here in central Minnesota. They're holding an open house from 6:30-to-8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Sauk Rapids Area Wildlife Manager Fred Bengtson says they want to show you what your hunting and fishing license fees are used for right here in your back yard.  He says they'll talk about some of the projects they are working on and projects they hope to take up in the future.

Bengtson says they'll also address Governor Mark Dayton's proposal to raise hunting and fishing license fees.

The Sauk Rapids DNR office is located at 1035 South Benton Drive.
