District 742 Sees Slight Enrollment Decline

ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Area School District has seen a slight decline in enrollment this year, after several years of growth. Total enrollment in all programs is 10,157, down from 10,196 last year.

Total K through 12 enrollment decreased by 19 students from 9,758 down to 9,666. The decline is in the lower grades, down 91 students in the elementary and middle schools.

Meanwhile, both high schools have more students. Tech and Apollo have almost exactly the same number of kids, 1,437 at Apollo and 1,434 at Tech. Apollo has traditionally been the smaller of the two high schools.
