District 742 Hosting Meeting For Those Looking to Run For School Board

ST. CLOUD - If you're interested in serving on the St. Cloud Area School Board, there's a meeting coming up that you'll want to attend.

District 742 has scheduled a candidate information session from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23rd at the District Administration Office in conference room A.

The meeting is open to anyone who's interested in serving on the Board of Education, and may be considering being on the primary and/or general election ballot for 2017. The meeting will focus on the roles and duties of a school board member.

The meeting will cover the current issues facing the St. Cloud Area School District, including:

• Constant focus on educational priorities
• Tech High School
• A future referendum
• Early childhood education
• Clark Field

Four board members (Dr. Les Green, Al Dahlgren, Dennis Whipple and Debbie Erickson) have their seats up for election for 2017.
