ST. CLOUD -- As teachers prepare for students to make their way back to the classrooms, school bus drivers are also gearing up for the upcoming year.

Scott Dahlin is the Transportation Supervisor for District 742. He says drivers are adjusting to the new start and end times at some of the schools.

The loss of Roosevelt Elementary also causes few challenges to bus routes this year.

Drivers are reminded to pay attention for children waiting for the bus at bus stops early in the morning.

Dahlin says safety for the students and drivers are high priority.

Bus schedules and routes for District 742 should be in the mail next week.

The Transportation Department is currently looking for extra bus drivers for the upcoming school year.

Dahlin reminds you to read over the information to make sure you and your child knows what bus to get on and where the bus stops are located.
