ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Area School Board is going forward with a plan to call for proposals from architects for a new Tech High School or renovation to the current building.

The district will give architects until Friday, August 29th to submit proposals. Executive Director of Business Services, Kevin Januszewski says the district will then set up an interviewing committee to pick an architect.

Januszewski says when an architect is selected they will be in charge of coming up with a design for a new Tech High School or ideas for renovating the current building.

The district wants to replace the aging Tech high school, due to rising repair costs.  The final decision will be in the hands of the residents.

Nearly 10,000 students are enrolled in the St. Cloud area district.
