Dispute Over Cigarette Leads to Knife Attack
ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud police responded to a knife complaint yesterday (Thursday) morning.
Officers were called to the 500 block of Highway 10, in St. Cloud, at about 10:00 a.m.
19-year-old Violet Hopkins, of St. Cloud, was arrested for allegedly cutting her boyfriend with a knife after he would not give her a cigarette.
The 29-year-old victim suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention at the scene.
Hopkins is being held in the Benton County Jail.
She faces charges of 2nd degree assault.
