‘Disasters’ Exhibit Opens Saturday at Stearns Museum
ST. CLOUD - Last summer we experienced some powerful storms here in Central Minnesota, but they were nothing compared to some of the disasters of the past.
A new exhibit, "Minnesota Disasters" opens tomorrow (Saturday) at the Stearns History Museum. The exhibit is on loan from the Minnesota Historical Society, and it includes two local disasters: the Grasshopper Plague of 1873 and the 1886 Cyclone that devastated Sauk Rapids.
The collection will also include snowstorms, floods, fires, and more from around the state.
Admission is $5 for people who are not members of the Stearns History Museum.
The exhibit will run through March 18th.
