Dewey Lloyd Jenson, Msgt Ret., 64, of Staples, MN died on Friday, August 15, 2014 at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. Funeral services for Dewey will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Church of Christ Church in Staples, MN, with Pastor Lee Paskewitz officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation from 5:00-7:00 PM, Monday, August 18, 2014 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment with full Military Honors by 133rd/934th Honor Guard Team and VFW Post 3922-Wadena, MN at West Lyons Cemetery in Oylen, MN.

Dewey was born May 13, 1950 to Dewey and Margaret (Goodrich) Jenson in Wadena, MN. He graduated from Staples High School in 1968. Dewey joined the military in 1969 and retired from the Air Force after 23 years with the rank of Msgt. Dewey married Vicki Johnson on October 20, 1974 in Staples, MN. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, no matter where he was. Dewey was a member of the Wadena VFW, enjoyed playing cards, especially poker with the River Rats.

Dewey is survived by his wife, Vicki; daughter, Michelle (Nick) Sjobeck; granddaughter, Brynna Sjobeck; mother, Margaret Giese; brothers, Douglas (Heidi) Jenson, Alan Jenson; sister, Theresa (Paul) Hagen; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Dewey; stepfather, Delbert Giese; grandparents, Kenneth and Edna Jenson, Lloyd and Ollie Goodrich. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
