Developers Find New Site for Sauk Rapids Apartment Project

SAUK RAPIDS - The developers of a planned Sauk Rapids apartment complex have found a new location. Kuepers Incorporated now have their sites on an area along 10th Avenue Northeast, just to the south of Fairview Gardens.

The city council rejected their previous plan in the Villages of Creekside neighborhood after residents there voiced their objections.

Community Development Director Todd Schultz says the "Stone Creek Estates" apartments is almost the same design, with two 38-unit apartment buildings and four detached garage buildings.

If the city council gives their approval on this new location during tonight's (Monday) meeting, the developers hope to break ground by the end of the month.
