Details Released For Jacob Wetterling Memorial Service

ST. JOSEPH -- More details are being released about a community memorial service for Jacob Wetterling.

The College of St. Benedict will host the event Sunday, September 25th at 10:00 a.m. The community is welcome to join the Wetterling family for an ecumenical prayer service of remembrance, hope and healing. The doors will open at 9:00 a.m.

Officials say there will be limited seating so those wishing to attend are asked to sign an online guestbook to secure your seat. The guestbook can be found at www.jwmemorial.net. Location information and directions will then be emailed to you in advance of the service.

If you are unable to attend, the service will be streamed live on that same website.

The Millstream Arts Festival is also taking place in St. Joseph during that time so you're encouraged to arrive early and anticipate increased traffic.

Memorials are preferred to the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, or your favorite children's organization which focuses on building a better and safer world for children.
