LITTLE FALLS - Hockey is a challenging enough sport as it is - so imagine playing with sight in only one of your eyes. That's the story of Little Falls hockey star Ben Newman.

After an accident while learning to walk as a toddler, Newman permanently lost the sight in his right eye.

This has not hampered his sports career in the slightest.

Newman was 3 years old when he started playing hockey - and he never stopped. Now a junior at Little Falls High School, Newman is a top scorer for the flyers.

He says he doesn't really know how his sight has affected his game, because he doesn't remember a time when he had vision in both eyes.

As a center, Newman is the current goal leader for the Flyers with a season total of 16. He says he's played with the same guys since he was in grade school, which makes  it extra special.

The Flyers are in the last month of their season.
