COLLEGEVILLE - For the most part, Minnesota's apple crop is looking good.  However, there are some orchards in Central Minnesota that were affected by hail this summer.

Todd Beumer owns Collegeville Orchards.  He says some of the apple trees on his 13-acre farm were hit by hail during the July 1st storm.

Beumer says, after the hail, they treated the apples as best they could to minimize the damage.

Collegeville Orchards has 25 different varieties of apples.  Their most popular are Honey Crisp, Fireside, and Harrelson.  Their first day they'll be open for the season is this Friday.
