ST. CLOUD - The planned St. Cloud Aquatic and Community Center continues to take shape.

The projected cost for the 100,000 square foot building is just under $25 million, which is down from the original estimate of $27 million.  In an interview with Greg Gack from the YMCA last month, he said they had raised about $23.5 million so far at that point - $14 million of that is from the half-cent sales tax.

The updated designs include an eight-lane lap pool, and a zero entry family pool with a slide. There's a kids zone, two racquetball courts, and three basketball courts.

On Monday night the St. Cloud City Council will discuss the building design, financing for the project, and the partnership agreement with the YMCA.
