MOORHEAD (AP) - Authorities in northwestern Minnesota say a suspect has been arrested for shooting a sheriff's deputy during a traffic stop.

Norman County sheriff's dispatcher Kim Lewis says the deputy is expected to be OK.

The shooting happened about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday near Perley, northeast of Moorhead. Authorities arrested a suspect about two hours following the shooting.

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including, the Minnesota State Patrol, state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Border Patrol, Clay and Norman County sheriff's deputies and local police, were involved in the search for the suspect who exchanged gunfire with the deputy.

Officials provided no other details.
