A celebration of life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2017 at Church of God in Eden Valley for Dena Marie Rosenbohm who passed away on July 24 at the age of 101 years, 3 months and 10 days. Rev. Anne Fischhaber will officiate and burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Watertown, SD. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Eden Valley.

Dena was born April 14, 1916 at Castlewood, SD to Alek and Ariana (Ludwig) DeWall. She graduated from Castlewood High School and attended college in Madison, SD. Dena married Edwin Rosenbohm on June 25, 1938. After spending the first five years of marriage in Dempster, SD, they moved to Watertown, SD. Later Dena moved to Eden Valley, MN. She taught school for 25 years in Dueul, Hamlin and Codington counties. She taught Sunday school, confirmation and bible classes, as well as serving on various committees in the churches she attended. Dena enjoyed playing the piano, needle work, embroidery, crossword puzzles, word finds, reading, and watching the Minnesota Twins. She was a strong, determined woman with a deep faith.

Dena is survived by daughters, Linda Kubes of Minnetonka and Ellen Moench of Eden Valley; 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dena was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; sisters, Anna Janssen, Jane Jongeling and Eleanor Harrenga; brothers, Lester and Lloyd DeWall; sons-in-law, Del Moench and Benjamin Kubes.
