Delores “Lauri” J. Showalter, 73, Saint Cloud

Delores “Lauri” Jean Showalter, age 73, Saint Cloud, MN, died at Quiet Oaks Hospice in St. Augusta, MN on Sunday, May 31, 2015.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Benson Funeral Home, Saint Cloud MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Lauri was born January 28, 1941 in Pipestone County, MN to Trygve and Viola Larson. She married Robert J. Heilman April 7, 1961 in Mason City, IA. Robert died June 12,1968. Lauri married Douglas C. Showalter March 30, 1973 in Milbank, SD. Douglas died April 1, 1988. She owned and operated a Pizza Restaurant in Morris, MN. When Lauri moved to the St. Cloud area she worked as a Chief Dietary Consultant for Sterling House in Sauk Rapids, MN. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and needlework.

Survivors include her son, Glen (Sue Kuhlemeier) Showalter of Rochester, MN; brothers, Gehart “Gary” Larson of Sun City West, AZ; Lowell Larson of Sartell, MN; sister, Helen (Willis) Rogness of St. Cloud, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; and brothers, Gene Larson and Marvin Larson.
