WADENA, Minn. (AP) _ A confused white-tailed deer that wandered into a Walmart store in Minnesota was taken down by an unsuspecting customer who was blindsided by the animal.

Shoppers at the Wadena  Walmart store speculated the frightened deer was in search of a snack when it walked into the store through the garden center doors Tuesday.

Tom Grasswick, who just happens to live in Deer Creek, says he felt like someone had slugged him when the deer slammed into him. Grasswick says his first instinct was tackle the animal, bringing the deer down on a pallet of dog food.

Grasswick covered the eyes of the startled deer and he and others managed to remove the animal and set it free outdoors.
