Deer Causes Crash in Morrison County, Two Hurt
SCANDIA VALLEY TOWNSHIP -- Two people were hurt after swerving to miss a deer this (Tuesday) morning.
The incident happened at about 11:30 a.m. south of 340th Street in Scandia Valley Township.
The Morrison County Sheriff's office says 59-year-old Rebecca Johnson, of Cushing, was driving a Ford Escape SUV heading south on Dove Road, when she swerved to miss a deer in the roadway.
The vehicle went off the road, hit an embankment and rolled several times before coming to a rest in a group of trees.
Johnson and her passenger, 61-year-old Robert Johnson of Cushing, were taken to Staples Hospital with unknown injuries.
