ST. CLOUD -- December 2010 will go into the record books as the wettest December in St. Cloud's history.

St. Cloud State University officials say there were 2.45 inches of melted precipitation at the St. Cloud Regional Airport.  We had just over eight-tenths of an inch of rain on Friday -- that's more than the normal rainfall total for the entire month.

December 2010 also tied for the 7th snowiest December with 18.2 inches -- nearly 10 inches above normal.  For the season, St. Cloud has picked up 21.8 inches of snow.  We're well behind other cities like: Duluth with nearly 54 inches, International Falls with nearly 48 inches, Fargo-Moorhead over 45 inches, and Minneapolis-St. Paul at over 43 inches.

December was also cold, we were seven degrees below normal.
