Dayton Scheduled To Sign Anti-Bullying Law Today

ST. PAUL (AP) - Gov. Mark Dayton has invited students, parents and teachers to join him when he signs a bill strengthening the state's anti-bullying law.

Dayton is scheduled to sign the bill Wednesday, the same day the Minnesota House voted to pass it.  The Senate passed the legislation last week.

The bill requires school districts to track and investigate cases of bullying and directs schools to better train staff and teachers on how to prevent it. Current law requires school districts to have a bullying policy but doesn't include details on what the policy should contain.

Dayton plans to sign the bill on the steps of the state Capitol at 4 p.m.
