David Werner Herold, 61, St. Cloud

August 7, 1953 - February 2, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30PM Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud for David Herold who died Monday from injuries he received in a two car accident in Jamestown, ND. The Rev. Al Stangl will officiate and burial with full military honors will be at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Friends and relatives may call from 10:30AM-12:30PM on Friday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

David was born in Little Falls to Herbert P. & Marie C. (Walz) Herold. David served his country in the United States Army in Germany. He served his community of Alexandria as a plumber for over 30 years working for Ellingson Plumbing. He enjoyed his work and the people he met along the way. When he wasn’t with his dogs you could find David fishing (any time of the year), deer hunting or helping his friends and family. He was looking forward to retirement and continuing his pursuits of happiness. David will be missed for his prankish nature, his ability to make friends, and his love of blueberry pie. He was a nonjudgmental, simple man who was not opposed of doing an honest day’s work.

Survivors include his parents, Herb and Marie of St. Cloud; siblings, Susan (Mark) Storti of Sebring, FL; Dr. Daniel (Connie) of Hawley; Duane (Roberta) of Cuyuna; Sandra Dinndorf of St. Cloud; Dale (Julie) of Deerwood; Dean (Bobbi) of St. Cloud; Darryl (Pat) of St. Augusta; Dennis (Ann) of St. Cloud; Douglas of St. Cloud; Dana of St. Cloud; Shannon Froberg of White Bear Lake; Sherri Hokanson of Sauk Centre; step son, Joseph Nelson of Savage and step grandson, Grayson.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
