David E. Eberhardt, 81, St. Cloud

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 13 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for David E. Eberhardt, age 81, of St. Cloud who died Monday at Quiet Oaks Hospice House. Rev. David Grundman will officiate and burial will be at MN State Veteran’s Cemetery near Little Falls. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Friday at the church. St. Michael’s Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids.

David was born November 6, 1934 in St. Cloud to Cecil & Loretta (Kreger) Eberhardt. He married Roberta “Bobbie” Jean Travnicek on June 28, 1958 in Graceville, Minnesota. David was a Supervisor for Vision Ease for 42 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 622 of St. Cloud and St. Cloud American Legion Post 76. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and being outdoors. He was also a sports fan and enjoyed watching the Vikings. David is described as being a man’s man, old cowboy, and the cornerstone of his family. His greatest pride and joys were his two daughters.

Survivors include his daughters, Gayle (Mark) Howard of St. Cloud, Carol (David) May of Holdingford; sister, LaVon Kedrowski of St. Cloud; Brother-in-law, Thomas (Helen) Travnicek of Florida; grandchildren, Chris, Erin, Brett, Jesse; great grandchildren, Sydney, Montey, Owen, and Vivienne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie; daughter, Kelly; and his brother, Joseph.
