MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Department of Transportation is reopening some major roadways closed earlier because of blowing and drifting snow.

Interstate 90 west of Albert Lea reopened Monday morning after snowplows cleared the lanes and winds subsided. Interstate 94 from Moorhead to Alexandria and Highway 10 from Moorhead to Detroit Lakes were also reopened Monday.

The Minnesota State Patrol advises against unnecessary travel in southern and western Minnesota. Highway 210 from Breckenridge to Fergus Falls remained closed due to deep drifting snow.
