Dale Henry Lutterman, 56, Pillager

Dale Lutterman, 56, of Pillager, died at his home Saturday, December 27, 2014. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior.

Dale Henry Lutterman was born January 14, 1958, in Worthington, MN, the son of Henry and Marcella (Hieronimus) Lutterman. Dale worked during high school and found he enjoyed being a mechanic and detailing cars. It became his career. Dale lived in Villard for 20 years where he opened and operated a detail and body works shop. While in Villard he also was a proud member of the fire department and first responders. In 2000, Dale moved to the Pillager area and began working at Always Available Towing. In addition, he was a great help to Alison’s parents on their farm – where he could fix most everything.

Dale enjoyed his job – and had a true passion for mechanics. He liked to go to mud-runs and four-wheeling. He was an outdoorsman who camped and gardened. He cherished times he could spend with his family and friends.

He will be missed by the love of his life and soul-mate of 12 years, Alison Groothuis; his mom, Marcella Lutterman; children, Lisa (Jermaine Holmes) Lutterman, of AZ, Emma (Nick) Lutterman, of AZ, and Thomas Lutterman, of AZ; granddaughter, Aniya Holmes; step-children, Ryan Steinhofer, Ashley Steinhofer, and Amber Steinhofer; siblings, Gailyn (Sharon) Lutterman, Byron (Vicki) Lutterman, Nancy (Luther) Olson, and Wayne (Janet) Lutterman; Alison’s parents, Randolph and Margaret Groothuis; Alison’s sisters, Yolanda Hock and Cindy VanWell; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry; brother, Gerald; and grandparents, Tenges and Emma Lutterman and Chris and Jenny Hieronimus.
