Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Cyrilla Elizabeth “Cy” Hennemann, 89, of St. Cloud will be at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Cy passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital with family by her side. Inurnment will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 6:00 p.m. followed by the St. Cloud VFW Post #428 Ladies Auxiliary at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Cy was born on March 1, 1927 in Freeport, Minnesota to the late John and Frederica (Huschle) Spoden. She married Philip A. Hennemann on June 23, 1945 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Cy worked at the St. Cloud Manor Nursing Home for 2 years, the St. Cloud Hospital as a EEG Technician for 2 years and then for an insurance agency for 21 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the St. Cloud VFW Post #428 Ladies Auxiliary and St. Paul’s Parish.

Cy was an avid bowler and was secretary for the St. Cloud Women’s Bowling Association for 12 years. She enjoyed going to many bowling tournaments with her daughters. She also enjoyed golfing, reading, tending flowers, crocheting, collecting bells, reading, mastering the computer and was a Twins & Vikings fan.

She is survived by children, Phillis Bennett of Minnetonka, Fred “Rick” (Renee) of Avon, Jerome “Jerry” of St. Cloud, Philip “Tony” (Cheryl) of Woodbury, Jim of Boy River, Susie (Phil) Thompson of Rice, Nancy (Owen) Novak of Sauk Rapids, Rich “Richie” of Rush City; 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip in 1966; brothers and sisters, Rosalia Hengel, Lee Spoden, Sylvester Spoden, Priscilla Nosera and Juliana Spoden.

Memorials are preferred.
