Cindy was born on Feb. 28, 1951 to Carles and Marjorie (Bjorndahl) Hoiland in Montevideo. She grew up with her five siblings and graduated from Willow River High School. Cindy loved nature, wildlife, and being outdoors, especially while fishing and hunting. She enjoyed traveling and liked to cook; there was always enough for everyone who visited. Above all, Cindy loved to spend time with her entire family together and getting to see her grandchildren.

Cindy is survived by her husband Jack; children Brian Peura, Monticello; Marie (Mike) Emerson, St. Augusta; Chad (Julie) Peura, Buffalo; siblings Larry (Lu) Hoiland, Willow River; Alfred (Sandy) Hoiland, Bruno; Steve (Diane) Hoiland, Howard Lake; Sherry (Howard) Nebola, Willow River; Linda (Mitch) Rock, Willow River; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Carles and Marjorie.
