ST. CLOUD -- In our final installment of Cuisine Unseen, we head to the St. Benedict's Senior Community in St. Cloud to check out their cafe, whose wide-ranging menu feeds all who come through.

The cafe offers a different menu every day along with constants like a comfort food station, fresh salad bar, grill options, and grab-and-go foods.

Diane Even, Director of Nutrition at St. Benedict's, says the cafe serves anywhere between 100 and 200 residents, visitors and employees every day.

"My favorite part is the interaction that you get with the general public and with our residents," Even says.

"That's the most rewarding and fun part of the job."

Even encourages anybody who is interested to give it a try and some people continue to eat there well after their relatives leave move away.

"We serve a lot of visitors, we have visitors who still come back when their loved one has left our building," Even says.

"Whether it's our residents, their guests, anybody who comes through our doors - we want to serve them a nutritious meal that's affordable and good-tasting."

Even says that the cafe will go through some changes in the upcoming months, including the construction of a patio area and the adding of healthier foods to their menu.

The St. Benedict's cafe is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. every day at 1810 Minnesota Boulevard in St. Cloud.
