Scott Baker is not returning to the Twins.  Baker agreed to terms on a 1-year $5.5 Million contract with incentives for another $1.5 Million.  Baker sat out all of the 2012 season after having Tommy John surgery in the spring.  Baker may not be ready when the regular season starts.  The Twins were trying to re-sign Baker after declining the $9.2 Million option for this season.

Baker was 63-48 in 7 seasons with the Twins with a 4.15 ERA.  Baker is 31 years old.  The Twins are in desperate need of starting pitching and are looking for help in free agency and in trade.
