ST. JOSEPH/COLLEGEVILLE - The College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University are competing in the national Outdoor Campus Challenge this fall.

The schools will compete against 10 others across the country in the 8-week competition, which starts Friday, September 26th and ends on November 22nd.

Jenny Kutter is with the environmental studies department and says the competition is all about encouraging others to get outdoors.

Kutter says many people start staying indoors in the fall, this competition hopes to reverse that trend.

Participants will self-report their activities by logging them online for a chance at weekly prizes. You do not have to be a student to take part and everyone is encouraged to participate.

To participate and for more information, check out the Outdoor Campus Challenge website.
